| Abstract: | An almighty surge in growth in the next quarter century should mark the triumph of free trade over ideology. Barring a relapse, change will accelerate. India and China will eclipse a Europe shackled with social commitments. The balance of world economic power is moving to Asia, and the rate will accelerate. The greatest growth of all will be in the numbers of people who speak English: most of the people born into the enterprise societies of the next decades will speak English as a second language. |
