| Abstract: | Article analyzes the concept of just-in-time (JIT) production, which is mostly introduced as a response to the complexity of the functional layout.JIT can be considered as a set of techniques or as a new approach to production system management.JIT techniques include interventions in the areas of product structure, production process, organization and personnel, production planning and control, supplier relationships.Among JIT characteristics as a new approach to production system management article analyzes the principle of eliminating non value added activities and new principles connected with types and utilization of equipment. |
