| Abstract: | Drawing on recent field research conducted at a UK bank, the article supports a multidisciplinary approach to empirical investigation on managing IT. This is crucial given the interplay between managerial and technical groups on strategy formulation, project selection and evaluation, delivery and implementation, investment appraisal and performance measurement and control. Field research on managing two IT projects at a UK bank suggest ad hoc strategic and operational approach to managing IT projects. |
