| Abstract: | For at last three years the stock lending activity of Italian securities has become more and more frequent between foreign counterparties. When the stock market volumes were low and the Italian market was not attractive, most of the lending of Italian securities was concentrated during the dividend season. The players were international funds and brokers that arbitrated dividends in consideration of different tax treatments in different countries. |
