Abstract:The impact on international trade of the antidumping (AD) provisions (AD Law) of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, (the Act) has significantly increased during the last ten years. This article deals with the conceptual framework used by the Import Administration (IA) to determine whether a company located in a country experiencing hyperinflation has been dumping its products in the US market. Although the IA is guided by a general AD methodology for its cases, modifications to this methodology must be made to adjust for the effects of hyperinflation.
