| Abstract: | A valuation method is offered which avoids different interpretations of accounting conventions and focuses on longer-term benefits. Overseas companies have made enormous investments in China. How have companies attempted to achieve a presence in the Asian Pacific region? Joint ventures represent a route that has been taken most seriously. This is especially so in China where there are some particular problems for potential foreign investors. The nature of these problems is considered shortly, once specific difficulties associated with Chinese accounting practices have been reviewed. |
