| Abstract: | Hirschheim, Klein, and Lyytinen's (henceforth HKL) "Intellectual structures of information systems development" is a very rich and suggestive paper. They developed a taxonomy that integrates and makes sence of the fragmented domains of intellectual knowledge in ISD. The paper significantly contributes to knowledge in both the process and outcome: the process by means of a methodology for development taxonomies, and outcome by means of a theory-based framework for classifying ISD research. |
