| Abstract: | Both domestic and foreign demand for semiconductors will post negative growth in fiscal 1996 because of deteriorating market prices, but domestic production overall is expected to improve steadily, supported by brisk domestic demand for communications and personal computer related equipment. In fiscal 1997, although the growth of domestic demand for communications equipment will decelerate rapidly, semiconductor demand is expected to turn upward. |
