Abstract:The government's macro regulation and control conducted since the 1980s include the following: 1. the speed of economic growth, 2. rational investment scale and investment rate, 3. the money in circulation and loans to be newly increased, 4. revenue and expenditure, 5. inflation, 6. the scale of import and export, and their structure. Besides, the income level and consumption level of urban and rural residents are also included. The macro control has produced some results. The phenomena of "overheated economy" has been eliminated gradually. The serious inflation has been brought under control. Price rise is not beyond the fixed target. Under the condition of moderately tight fiscal and monetary policies, a higher economic growth rate has been kept.
