| Abstract: | The exposition in telecommunications services world-wide is slowly making its mark in Africa. While fixed line growth in the continent has stagnated, new technologies such as mobile phones, internet, and satellite services are all growing in importance. In the early 1990s, the developed world saw an unprecedent growth in telecommunications , with the number of telephone lines almost doubling. Africa missed out on this boom period and is now well behind developed regions. |
