| Abstract: | Money laundering is on the increase, but even accountants have problems spotting it, writes Burns. It would also come no surprise to find money launderers targeting British banks and financial institutions more frequently in the years ahead. A good deal of money laundering, after all, involves changing cash from one currency others, and the launch of the euro may limit the opportunity for elaborate chains of currency transactions. The UK may suddenly appear to be a useful place to lauder money. |
