Abstract:For years, the biggest mirage in the business world has been seamless globalization. Today, the Internet has promised to make globalization a reality for any company with a hefty computer network and proficient language translators. North American firms expanding their online operations overseas are finding, however, that while the Internet helps break down barriers to globalization, it also introduces as many new issues as it solves.
