Abstract: | In the literature (here as: lit.) of marketing, cultural and psychic distance are two concepts that are widely used to assess the differences btw. countries. This study aims at drawing attention of researchers and managers (here as: r. and m.) to the general failure in the lit. to make the difference btw. the concepts of cultural and psychic distance. A large number of studies are found to use both concepts interchangeably with no clear distinction btw. them. However, these concepts are conceptually distinct, addressing different phenomena. A framework is proposed allowing r. and m. to recognise the exclusive properties of the two concepts. |
