Abstract:Management training and research work in the field of management are integral parts within the activities of Harvard Business School (HBS). The system of education according to subjects and programs are discussed. A detailed analysis of the two years long Master of Business Administration program is given. The first year's program consists of five methods-oriented and five functions oriented blocks. In the second year the students have a free choice from a large number of managerial problem areas such as competitive strategies, computer applications, entrepreneurship, environmental problems etc. The role of case study method is very important. The organizational structure of HBS. The control of research work. Practical and personal requirements for teachers.
