| Abstract: | Ever since it was institutionalized in France in 1966, leasing has been quite successful among French firms. If one looks closely, it can be stated that determinants of demand (flexible financing, fiscal policy, countability, etc.) have been less of a factor in this success than determinants of supply. Besides benefitting from the new legal rectification procedure, leasing also provides a useful means of checking the risks involved in financed projects and represents an important part of the financial institutions' diversification policy. |
