Abstract: | A detailed analysis is given about what went wrong, what lessons can be learned from the Exxon's $ 2 billion waste of money. The first mistake was to take senior managers in the company's process control culture, as most of them had no experience in a start-up-business. The second problem was the clash of foreign cultures. From the beginning there was no time-phased, well-thought strategy for Exxon Enterprises. Business has to recognize and accept the fact that entrepreneurs can't prosper in corporate America. |
