| Abstract: | Some basic problems connected with the determination of an optimal incentive system are discussed. The optimal solution (from the standpoint of a principal) in a world of certain expectations is described. It is investigated, in which way the incentive system has to be modified under uncertainty. At which premium function the expectations value of success according to premium, depends on the variance of success and the degree of risk-aversion of the decision maker. The less the variance of success and/or the risk-aversion of the decision-maker is the nearer the optimal incentive system comes to the system behaving at risk neutrality of the decision-maker optimally. |
