| Abstract: | Technology directly intervenes in the struggle between competitors: recent strategic measures of certain companies lead now to the use of technology as a tool in the relations between the company and the customers where market and competition have only a secondary function. Upper management competence in running projects is increasingly becoming a key factor, given the current economic context in which companies must overcome numerous obstacles. 19 directors of French companies were interviewed. Project management systems are specified on the basis of determinants: the number and the homogeneity of the projects to be managed. Strategic and organizational aspects of project management are given special attention. |
