Abstract:Computer-aided software engineering (CASE) is defined as using the computer as a development tool to automate certain portions of methodologies. As such, CASE tools work within a methodology rather than comprise a methodology itself. It facilitates techniques that are significant to the effectiveness of the strategic manager and system professional. Such techniques are joint application planning sessions, joint application design sessions and prototyping. CASE systems provide more effective ways of employing methodologies and techniques in an integrated manner.
