Abstract:The relationship of advertising and public relations still remains a hotly disputed topic in the media sector and at company level. Whereas some people advocate the strict independency of both forms of communication, others believe that advertising and public relations complement one another at least. A third group throws both of them into the same pot and argue that public relation is a better form of advertising. The dispute remains open. Nevertheless, all opinions are presented.
