| Abstract: | Deutsche Bundespost is to launch two satellites this year. Kopernikus due to launch on May 28 uses PAL, and TV Sat-2 due to launch this July will transmit in the D2-MAC standard. Though no German TV is equipped to receive D2-MAC, Bundespost is promoting it because it provides a migration path to HDTV. There is a great demand for channels on Kopernikus. |
