| Abstract: | Rapidly increasing expenditure for information technology calls for instruments which will make the respective benefits transparent and enable future investments to be assessed. Proven quantitative calculation methods often fail in the face of the complex nature of modern data processing. Arguments are presented that its strategic value can only be developed and justified with the aid of a modern management and control system. The controller's role is highlighted. It is shown how to assess the information needs in relation with the strategic success factors in the context of strategic management of a company. |
