Abstract:Performance measurement at work currently rests on the supervisor's shoulders. Consequently, performance information suffers from often justified employee complaints of bias, inflation, unfairness, delinquency, total avoidance and inaccuracy or invalidity. Multiple-rater teams make more continuous measures about a wider range of appraisal criteria. Other examples include: participative management; subordinate evaluation; flat organization; work teams and project management; technical professionals. Multiple-rater measures must be computerized to handle the data administration and scoring. Artificial intelligence offers tremendous improvements to employee performance feedback.
