| Abstract: | The key to developing export-oriented economy is to handle well the relationship between developing export-oriented economy and being based on the domestic economy. We neither are too conservative nor unduly rely on the world market. We should develop and adapt to the big world market with the backing of healthy operation of domestic market. The core of developing export-oriented economy based on the domestic economy is to tackle properly the problems of import and export trade and international capital flow. At the same time, the function of the government's macro regulation and control can not be neglected. Thailand's failure in developing export-oriented economy is, in essenes, the failure in tackling these problems, thus leading to the financial crisis. |
