Abstract:The author analyses the successful association between Ford and Mazda, in which the companies share certain products, components, and technology in many parts of the world. This association has developed over a period of more than 20 years. This historic collaboration will pave the way for other strategic alliances and teach those to follow how to effectively collaborate cross-culturally. The article shows the collaboration of Ford and Mazda in Hermosillo, Mexico. THe differences in the way the two companies view their relationship are being narrowed over time.
