| Abstract: | The principle of effective protection of tariff is basically incorporated in the disposition of the tariff rates of China's auto products. But the gap in tariff between intermediate input products and primary input products is often narrower than the one between the final products and intermediate input products, which is displayed more prominently in sedan products. The existence of gap in tariff often led to the more protection of intermediate input of final products and the less protection of the input of raw materials. The key points of protection in auto industry are, in order of precedence, sedan, medium vehicle and heavy-duty truck. For the same kinds of vehicles they are whole vehicle, intermediate input and primary input. |
