| Abstract: | The six major development trends in auto industry in China in the next 5 years will be as fallows: 1. Private cars and vehicles for agricultural use will increase sharply and buying cars privately will dominate the auto market rather than doing so at public expense, 2. Instead of domestic protection and blind competition, auto market will open to outside world, 3. The products which are mainly sold at home will enter into the world market gradually, 4. In terms of product mix, the economical bus will be the main product, 5. Enterprises will develop towards specialization, grouping and modern corporations, 6. The system of auto industry will be shifted from the government led to market-led. |
