| Abstract: | This paper focuses on the general themes of the issue to investigate the interrelationships between innovation, competition and regulatory change in international business. The paper provides a synthesis by underlining fresh interlinked developments in two different industries dominated by large MNCs' - pharmaceuticals and automotives, with specific reference to cars. This industry based review highlights the technical, economic and regulatory forces that have collectively changed the business environment, innovation processes and nature of competition in the pharmaceutical and automotive industries. |
