| Abstract: | The draft Part-Time Work Regulations 2000, bringing the part-time work directive into UK law, were laid before Parliament on 3 May and are due to come into effect on 1 July, giving employers about eight weeks' preparation time. This is longer than the time the government allowed for the changes to family rights at the end of last year, but it is still far too short. |
