| Abstract: | The schism that often divides academies and Practitioners, is as visible in the industrial engineering profession as it is in any other. But rumblings grow increasingly loud each year from both camps that they want to bridge the divide, share information, create better prospects for graduating students and forge university/industry partnerships that create opportunities for all parties. In may of this year, IIE- members were senr an e-mail that asked them to comment on how industry and academia can work together to improve industrial engineering education. In this article are some of the many suggestions the author received. |
