Since the euro's debut, tout le monde in the banking business has expected a wave of merger mania to hit Europe. However, there hasn't been a big cross-border merger yet. All that we've seen are a few minor forays. What about the rumours of a tie-up btw. Commerzbank of Germany and Credit Lyonnais of France? Still rumours. |
