Abstract:The major problems in Japanese business people's investment in China are as follows: They have little knowledge of China's reform measures and changes in policy. Their investment strategy changes so slowly that it can not adapt it to the changed situation. There are not many large projects which are also narrow and limited in terms of category. Compared with the enterprises of Europe and America, the Japanese enterprises investing in China are on the small side in scale and the medium and small-sized ones often seek short-term interests. This paper suggests: The Japanese side should change its concept and adjust its strategy of investment in China and adapt its investment to the adjustment of industrial structure in China. Besides, it should shift its investment from short-term cooperation to long-term one.
