Abstract:The costs and benefits of learning from experience, with respect to the firm, as considered from an economics perspective are examined. A framework is proposed which identifies the costs and benefits of learning from experience in terms of project evaluation and under different technological scenarios, the ensuring analytical implications being considered. The analysis is argued to be used to personnel managers, given the importance of learning from experience as a method of skill acquisition.
