Abstract: | The "Meilenstein" study published in 1975 investigated the managers' work from the point of view of a participant. In the study the observer watched and registered the managers' talks, discussions, travels and other actions. This kind of observation of management in practice has revealed a much more diverse and confusing pattern of managerial work than that traditionally presented. A similar study has been carried out in Germany. Three managers of small and medium-sized companies have been observed during a week. The results of this study confirm the findings found by other observers. |
