| Abstract: | Scene. A meeting within a management learning institution convened to discuss the ongoing development of a proposed MSc in International Management. About an hour into the event the discussion has moved onto a specific debate about a "module" designated International Management Competencies by its designers , Carolyn and Bob. Ron, institutionally senior to the others, is concerned that the word "competence" may be problematic in the eyes of a future audience if used alongside the notion of "transferable skills". |
