| Abstract: | The second part in the authors' series of articles examining working time in Europe analyses the situation in 10 countries. The authors look at statutory provisions on daily and weekly hours of work, rest breaks and flexibility options, in addition to assessing whether countries are complying with the EC Directive on the organization of working time. The first part of this article looked at the issue of working time in general, including recent trends towards more flexibility in working time arrangements and the reduction of working time in many countries. |
