| Abstract: | Men and women are becoming increasingly dependent on small business activity. This paper assesses some theoretical approaches and discusses these against an empirical investigation of micro-firms run by men, women and mixed sex partnerships. A minority of men and women in micro enterprises resist traditional solutions and traditional imagery of male and female behavior. |
