Abstract:While the title of this paper and its positioning as the fourth in a sequence of articles in The Marketing Review might suggest that "writing up" is something to be addressed at the conclusion of a piece of research, it is something that began the moment one put pen to paper (or finger to keyboard) in developing a research proposal. Of course "Getting Published" is something that can only happen once one has converted one's ideas into a permanent record accessible to others. In this paper the authors address two major themes. First, the authors look at the issues and potential problems encountered in preparing a formal record of their work. Second, the authors explore the matters involved in submitting work for publication especially in a scholarly or academic journal.
