Abstract: | This article concerns lone mothers and their position within the male-breadwinner model of family economies. Main question behind this article is why some of countries threat lone mothers as "mothers" instead of treating them as "workers". The chosen countries are United Kingdom and Norway. The author suggests that there is a male-breadwinner ideology and different forms of it. Also policies towards widowed lone mothers are compared. |
