Abstract: | This article analyzes whether Spanish university graduates (hereafter as: grads.) having attained a satisfactory match btw. education and employment (here as: educ-empl.) obtain better labour achievements (as: lbr-achvs.) than those who have not. Indicators for labour attainments are considered to be salary, professional category, labour stability, skills acquired on-the-job and job satisfaction. Logistic regression models are used to analyse the relation btw. these variables and the different types of matching. A retrospective, longitudinal survey in 2003 among grads. of 11 university degrees is realized. The results confirm the need to differentiate among divergent classes of matching, as the lbr-achvs. associated with the educ-empl. match vary significantly according to the indicator considered. |
