Abstract:The article examines the relationship between high-performance work systems (HPWS) and company’s operational results, and analyses the moderating role of technology in this relationship. The authors separate production technology from the technological intensity of the whole industry. The moderating role of technology is illustrated with a large sample of manufacturing companies in Spain. The research shows how the technical intensity of the industry has a moderating role while the moderating effect of production technology is qualified.
