| Abstract: | Macao's tourism, gamble and lottery markets have always and mainly targeted Hong Kong. But the number of visitors from Hong Kong has reduced continuously and so the pluralized target markets need to be developed. In the short-run Taiwan should be taken as the main target. As the scenic spots, small and scattered can not attract tourists' staying overnight, the construction of some large-sized theme parks like South Lake and Ocean world should be accelerated. In addition, the business mode of Las Vegas should be draw for reference to create a good tourist environment which would also help develop the gamble industry there. At the same time, the construction of Hengqin Bridge should be sped up too to promote the construction of Hong Kong-Macao Bridge and link with the railways and expressways in mainland for expanding the tourist activity space. |
