| Abstract: | This paper examines two destinations that are in the midst of making substantial locational enhancements to promote cultural tourism: the walled town of Alcudia in Mallorca, and the royal capital of Luang Prabang, in Laos. The steps they've taken and the challenges they have yet to face may provide guidance to other cultural tourism destinations seeking growth. |
