Abstract: | This article explores how family role relationships affect the decision-making process when deciding on the group package tour (GPT). Especially the role of children is examined. A survey of 240 families purchasing GPTs was conducted and the results show that in problem recognition and the final desicion stages families tend to make decisions together. The wives were found to be responsible for information searching. Marketing implications and future research suggestions are made. |
