| Abstract: | This paper investigates relationships (here as: r-ship / r-ships.) btw. local government and industry to critically discuss the role of networks in fostering or inhibiting public-private (here as: pbl-pr.) sector partnership (as: p-ship. / p-ships.) building. The findings suggest that fostering an environment in which innovative pbl-pr. p-ships. can emerge, requires careful management btw. state and societal dominance be achieved and that the r-ship. btw. the active tourism network and the wider, passive community be explicitly managed. |
