| Abstract: | The article develops a model that takes into consideration conceptual and personal factors in explaining individual's motivation to share knowledge. The study investigates research on achievement motivation and social exchange, which posit that goal orientations provide a framework for individual's knowledge sharing behavior by affecting how they cognitively value benefits and costs of sharing their knowledge. |
