BROADBAND NETWORKS
ANALYTICAL REVIEW
Language:eng
Abstract:The paper states that broadband promises to put the world at the fingertips of UK SMEs, unless lack of availability in rural areas and low levels of security awareness get in the way. The author states that unless you've been in a coma for the past few months you can't fail to have noticed BT's high-profile attempt to make its name synonymous with broadband - and all that is good about it. It's always on. It's faster than a speeding bullet. It provides simultaneous access to the internet and the phone, while minimising the cost of doing both. Fortunately, there's a startlingly laid back and competent ÂÒ engineer on the spot to get the situation under control when it all gets a bit out of hand. Whether the reality will be that easy to manage remains to be seen.
