Abstract:The author proposes ten stages of designing and facilitating a successful open space event: the theme, the venue, the invitations, arrival and briefing, setting the agenda, the market-place, morning announcements and evening news, the newsroom, the report of the proceedings and closing ceremony. Practical implications of open space technology are discussed. Open Space Technology is no longer the crazy experiment that it was back in 1985. The technology has been tested and refined in businesses, public sector and voluntary organizations, large and small , in many parts of the world.
