| Abstract: | In 1997, the total volume of coal market will continue to keep a pattern of supply exceeding demand slightly. It is estimated that the coal output (absolute output) will reach. 1.522 billion tons, up 4.5% while its consumption, 1.518 billion tons, up 6%. The demand for electricity will increase, to a certain extent, compared with that in 1996. So the contradiction between supply and demand will possibly sharpen again. The output of crude oil is expected to reach 0.1624 billion tons, up 2.5% compared with the estimated figure in 1996 while its consumption, 0.169 billion tons, up 4.5%. |
