Abstract: | Evaluating prospective programmers after an interview is difficult, and the results are often inaccurate. In the evaluation determining achievements is sometimes more important than testing for intelligence. Critical factors in the test method include: how long does it take to complete the test, can the test reveal an interviewee's partial knowledge of a question, how much information can the results yield etc. It is concluded that asking a prospective programmer the right questions is an art. The evaluation from a good computer test can be more objective than the reactions of an interviewer. |
